The Truck Stop Parking dataset was compiled on April 09, 2019 from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT)/Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) National Transportation Atlas Database (NTAD). The truck parking data was collected as part of the Jason's Law Truck Parking Survey requirement of MAP-21 (PL 112-141) to provide a "national priority on addressing the shortage of long-term parking for commercial motor vehicles on the National Highway System to improve the safety of motorized and non-motorized users and for commercial motor vehicle operators."
