Service Description: The Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) - Fatal Motor Vehicle Accidents dataset was compiled on December 31, 2020 and was updated on March 02, 2022 from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT)/Bureau of Transportation Statistics’ (BTS') National Transportation Atlas Database (NTAD). This tabular dataset is an ancillary table to supplement the geospatial accident file and contains information from FARS 2020. This data file contains information about crash characteristics and environmental conditions at the time of the crash. There is one record per crash.
